Dear HogWild,

You’ve helped me so many times, I can't thank you enough!

I made a huge mistake with this new guy I started seeing. It was our first time sleeping together and during the act I accidentally called him by the wrong name. Oh, I was so embarrassed.

I apologized like crazy.

I wasn’t thinking of anyone else. I don't know why my brain said his name wrong!

He hasn't contacted me since that night a week ago. Is there any way I can fix this?

Well, how bad was the name mix-up?

If his name was Evan and you shouted out Kevin, that’s not so bad... I guess.

It's much worse if you shouted out, "Oh Kevin! And his name is Jamaal."

In the early dating phase, you guys are feeling each other out. heh heh. Feeling each other. hahha!

So it could be that he was only kinda-sold on you. And this name-thing made it clear to him that he'd rather explore other options.

It could be that he wasn’t going to call you afterwards ANYWAY. Some guys do this ya know.

It comes down to how much he likes you so far. The name thing could be a big blow to his ego.

NOTE: In general guys like a big blow, but not this kind.
