Hi Hog!

What makes me really mad is that my current problem could have been avoided. I didn't even know this guy breathed until he told me to add him on a social networking site, and being very open, I did. Then he starts chatting me up on my wall, and then on instant messenger.

He made a song in the genre I listen to, even though he doesn't normally play that type of music.

He wanted to hang out with me, and invited me with his friends. It never worked out until last Friday. Then he goes and asks this other girl out.

He'd been dating her before we hung out. He told me about it, but I thought he was kidding (long story..) but -- he was serious!

So now, I'm fairly certain I'm blocked. Just a week ago, we were fine, we went to the movies, and now he's saying that he's getting the feeling I "want him to cheat on his girlfriend, which he wouldn't do"

What I want to know is WHY this guy made a big to-do... and then almost turns it on me, and leaves.

Why?! Because he's a jerkface-jerk-a-zoid! He doesn't care about your feeeeeeelings! No! The only feelings he cares about is when he's feeeeeeeeeling your snuggle-bubbles!

There's a bigger question here that applies to EVERYONE -- Hogs AND Hoggettes --

The bigger question here is...

When does a potential relationship partner graduate from suspect to prospect?

A suspect is someone you SUSPECT might be a good partner. A PROSPECT means they seem genuinely interested AND they are qualified.

For girls and guys, I would say don't get your hopes up AT ALL... until at least after the first kiss. Because that shows there is at least attraction on both sides. Without the basic attraction, there can be no relationship. Of course, the kiss doesn't guarantee anything, but it does give you real hope for the possibility of more. Before that, you're just friendly.
