Hi Hog,

I go to college with this guy and I have known him for three years and last year we started to get really close.

This year things started to become strange between us. He started to sit next to me in class and the vibe between us started to feel different. I told myself to ignore it, that he didn't really like me and it was stupid to think about him because he would talk to me some days then ignore me other days and I was like whatever!!

I feel like I am getting mixed signals from him, I am starting to like him, even though I really don't want to. He is European and moved to the States when he was 5 and he is mature but is giving me mixed signals like:

When we talk he looks deep into my eyes ALWAYS, he will just stare at me and smile, he gets jealous when I talk to other guys, when we study we stay in the library for 9 hours and we study and talk, he always mimics my body language and brings up stuff I have said from our previous conversations, he always says my name, we have many things in common and I really like that he listens to hip hop and kind of has an edge to him... but there's other stuff that worries me...

All of his friends are foreign Asians and he only eats Chinese food and is always around Asian girls. He talks crap about America and Americans.

When I walk into a room and he's talking to a girl he stops talking to her.

He said he is talking to a girl who lives in China right now but they are just friends and that they have been talking for a year. He said he is not going to pursue someone until he knows what will happen with her. He said he doesn't flirt with anyone in school, which is a lie!

What should I do? I feel we have chemistry and that's really hard to find, it just sucks !!!

I really don't know what to think I feel like I am trapped in some sort of game. Do you think he likes me or he knows I like him and he is toying with my emotions?

Let's get to the most important thing first... he only eats Chinese food?! What?! Hey, I LOVE Chinese food. But how can you only eat one type of food! Monogamy is for relationships, not food!

It's OK to... eat around. Sample some other spices. Enjoy some little Italian dish. A hot Indian curry. Put a Mexican taco in your mouth!

Look, just because you're attracted to someone, doesn't mean they should be your partner.

You are caught up in a confusing swirl of emotions. Sit down and think. Be logical for a moment.

What is your list of must-haves in a partner? Make out this list, REALLY! Now circle the most important 5 things. Now think. Does this guy have those qualities you want most?

Make a list of your deal-breakers... those qualities in a guy that automatically eliminate him. Does he have any of these?

Such as only eating Chinese food and then um, "polluting" the environment. <fart!>
