Hi Hog,

I have been wondering about my girlfriend. Though she has never cheated on me and I very much doubt she would, I always have problems putting faith in people. This may be from past experiences but also I am a logical thinker and I never like to open myself up to such an attack if by chance she does cheat.

So my question is... how in a relationship do you communicate that you just want a loyal and trustworthy partner?

Very few people say to themselves... I don't care if my girlfriend spreads her love curtains for other men as long as she comes home and honestly, tells me all about it.

Ew!

In a relationship, it starts with finding the right person for you. Get to know them as best you can. Then it requires... faith.

Without faith you have insecurity and paranoia and stress and that stress makes you catch a cold and then you're sneezing all over her and then she's grossed out by your boogers and she leaves you for a man with less phlegm! A man with less phlegm!

Give her the benefit of the doubt. Keep your eyes open, but give her trust. Trust her until she shows she can't be trusted, which is hopefully never.

You WILL be open for "attack" because in a REAL honest relationship you are GIVING your heart to another person.

If you are too scared to take that risk, then don't be in a relationship.

You should find a girl who MOST LIKELY will not cheat.
