Hey Hog,

I recently moved to California. I'm not really focusing on getting a girlfriend, but looking more towards finding someone to explore California with who is a female.

I made an online dating account to see what it's like out there and I'm starting to think there is no hope.

How can I meet someone wanting to explore California with me and how would I even approach them?!

Hmm... who wants to explore the state? You need someone adventurous. Maybe a University student. Or a career gal bored with life and with free weekends. Or a homeless woman scouting out the best locations in the state to beg for coins.

What do you do? You watch my dating advice videos on how to approach new women and go out there and DO it! DOOOO IT! Yes, you must DOOOOOO IT!

I understand when you're new to a place, it can be especially challenging to meet people BUT... it can also be especially EASY.

Because... you have the simplest excuse ever! You're new in town and looking to meet some cool people!

Focus on what you BRING. What do you have to offer? It could be laughs, interesting conversation, enthusiasm for travel or sports or partying or art or being a good friend. Focus on giving to others.

CHEESY GUY: I give others a chance to be in my presence. Wear a sweater because it gets chilly walking in my shadow. Oh, is that yorkshire terrier. I love those dogs, because they make my biceps look HUGE!

Everywhere you go there is an opportunity to meet new people.

So #1: be open to meeting new people!

This means at the grocery store, while getting your new driver's license, while walking down the street. Smile at people and say hello.

Also, most sane women won't agree to "explore the state" with a guy they just met. Build up a friendship or romance over time. Start with exploring somewhere nearby.

As you EARN a woman's trust she will be willing to be more adventurous and travel with you alone for longer distances.

NOTE: SOME girls are super cool and confident enough to agree to travel around with some guy they just met. But most women who do that are plain nutty.

CRAZY GIRL: Hey dude I just met! I would LOVE to get out of this town to run up the coast to just get away... from all these police on my trail.

YOU: Er, um, er, what did you do?

CRAZY GIRL: The cops THINK I killed a man while hiking. But I TOLD THEM the guy fell off a cliff. And I don't know WHO stabbed him 14 times in the chest... AFTER he hit the ground. AFTER.

Now let's get specific. VERRRRY specific!

Six Easy ways to meet new people of the Female Variety

1 - It's easy to meet people through a common interest.

Join groups that meet in real-life.

NERD BOY: Oh! Real life? But I find it more comfortable to meet hot elf babes in MMORPG's. Ya know, Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Games. It's less intimidating to talk to women in there because I know three-fourths of them are really guys. I get nervous just THINKING of women RINTF. Ya know, Real IN The Flesh.

Do you like volleyball? Awesome! Join a recreational league.

Do you like a certain religion? Attend their social events. If their events are dull, change religions! haha

Watch sports in a bar and meet people through high-fives and cheering.

Do you enjoy learning? Take a class at a local University. Or a dance class. A yoga class. A psychology class. Those classes tend to have more women than the iron-welding classes.

SUPER FAT UGLY GIRL: I'm more than enough woman for him and *I* am in a welding class! I'm building a tank that shoots snacks. I fill it up with bags of potato chips and it launches them to me while I relax in bed with my bag of cookies. I KNOW guys think female welders are hot because the last man I was with made a special request that I wear my welding mask while he made love to me.

2 - Meet girls through friends

Don't don't be afraid to make dude-friends! Dudes know women and dudes can get you invited to parties where women will be located.
