Your videos rock! You've helped me through so many issues.

My last boyfriend cheated on me and I hate to admit this but it's really affected my new relationship. This guy is really great but I feel paranoid and I am always worried that he might cheat. I wasn’t like this before!

How can I be more trusting? Should I be?

When someone hurts us... hurts us bad... OUCH! We never want THAT pain again!

So we protect ourselves. But sometimes we protect ourselves TOO much.

When we live in fear of pain, we pull away from life. We push away experiences and people. And here's what we REALLY do...

We become little detectives. We look for patterns EVERYWHERE.

Anything that even LOOKS the tiniest bit like the situation that caused the pain... and we FREAK OUT!

BRITISH DETECTIVE: I have discovered some clues. I found his footprints near a store. A store that sells orange juice. And CONDOMS! And then I uncovered his fingerprints on the door of ANOTHER store that sells bread. And CONDOMS! Yes, it can only mean one thing... your boyfriend is... a comparison shopper! For CONDOMS!

It's easy to SAY this new person is not that other person who did the damage. It's easy to SAY, hey you should give this new person the benefit of the doubt. But to DO it... to actually DO it... that's tough. It takes courage.

THINGS THAT TAKE COURAGE
- faith
- doing the right thing when the right thing is not easy
and
- eating hot soup without blowing on it first! Without blowing on it first!

What thoughts would go through your mind?

You might think: I can't believe this happened again! Something must be wrong with me! Why does every guy treat me like this! I'm never going to find a good man because all men are scum! They're lower than scum! They're what scum eat when there's no good scum food left in their scummy scum-fridge!
